We can lodge a maximum of 35 guests in 12 double rooms, 1 quadruple, 1 triple room and one family cabin. Overall we have 8
semi-attached double cabins for our guests, one central building with reception area, restaurant and bar, as well as 2 smaller staff buildings. All of the cabins are made out of local materials. You will be surprised how comfortable they are. They are built on stilts and are mainly made out of bamboo with traditional palm thatched roofs, creating a lovely flair.

LOCATION:

With our canoe we await your arrival on the river shore at Puerto Barantilla at an agreed time, usually in the early afternoon. From there we take you two kilometers downstream in wide and safe motor canoes until we reach our lodge. After your welcome drink we will show you to your cabin. In the evening, at our inviting open fire, we can arrange your tours during your stay with us.

BY BUS: Recommend taking the bus at 7:00 hrs or 8:00 hrs from the Terminal Terrestre in Quito. You will arrive at the bus station in Tena at around 13:30 hrs. This is your final stop, avoid getting off the bus earlier.
How to get from Tena to Puerto Barantilla (Liana Lodge) by bus: We recommend to take the bus leaving Tena at 14:30 hrs. The bus leaves for Puerto Barantilla/ SANTA ROSA DELNAPO.

BY CAR: Take the route Quito - Papallacta- Baeza- Tena- Puerto Napo. In Puerto Napo cross the big bridge over the Río Napo and take a left turn directly after crossing. Stay on this road for the next 40 km until you see a big wooden sign saying Puerto Río Barantilla and Liana Lodge.
There you will see a metal gate and a drive way. You can park your car next to the house, it will be watched by our guard who lives there.

HISTORY:

AMAZOONICO: Visit of the rescue center for animals which is situated at 30 minute walk from Liana Lodge. (it's possible to go by canoe as well). The team of volunteers will show you the selva's animals : monkeys, parrots, ocelots... Most of the animals live free, however, some of them are kept in cages for their own security.

CEIBO: On the walk from the hotel Runa Huasi to Amazoonico, the guide shows you the astonishing insectes and the flora of the Selva. On the way you will meet the Ceibo, one of the biggest tree in Amazonia, with its impressive buttress roots.

PAN FOR GOLD: By canoe, you will reach a beach of black sand. Over there, the guide will show you how they pan for gold ... and you will have the opportunity to try for yourself. With a bit a luck, you will find gold.

RESTAURANT: You are always welcome to visit them in the kitchen if you like to take a closer look. For breakfast we offer diferent kinds. At lunch time we serve a delicious soup, followed by a vegetarian main dish with a selection of salad and vegetables and a desert. In the evening dinner awaits you with a tasty cream soup.
